A Big Boy Raven Halloween!

Happy Halloween Blog Friends!  Are you ready for the little ghosts and goblins to come knocking at your front door tonight?  We're ready, although we don't get as many kids as in years past.  There are lots of Ravens flying around this Halloween.  This image is by Stampendous.  I love ravens and have a few raven stamps that I use quite often.  As a matter of fact, I have a dear friend who goes by the name of  Raven.  She is a wonderfully talented beader (Raven has an Etsy shop) and is such a talented artist who makes the most beautiful Pysanky eggs that she sells at Susan's Christmas Shop right next to The Shed restaurant in Santa Fe.  The raven I'm sharing today is my biggest boy.  I hope you enjoy him on this spooky Halloween day. Thanks for checking in today and have a fun and creepy Halloween!

Fifty Shades of Book Club

Hello there!  Today I'm sharing a book mark I made for some friends from Kerrville, TX, who come to Santa Fe, to spend a glorious weekend in the New Mexico.  Kathy hosts the book club members at her Santa Fe home for a few days every Fall.  They were here last weekend and I'm glad the weather was good for their stay.  Kathy and friends enjoy the gorgeous Santa Fe weather, great shopping, and eating out at some of Santa Fe's finest yummy restaurants.  I'm so glad the book club members have a good sense of humor!  I really wouldn't want to offend anyone.  I thought this stamp was so cute, and would be cool to use for their '12 book mark.  This is the fifth year that I've made book marks for their club.  They are nicest people you'll ever meet!  Thanks for stopping by today.

A Creepy Little Ghost

Hello Bloggers!  I've been absent for awhile.  Lots happening and not enough hours to fulfill all my obligations.  Today I'm posting A Creepy Little Ghost.  You know that saying, "less is best", well this applies to some of the cards I make.  Halloween is fast approaching, so I wanted to get this posted today.  Our beautiful weather is coming to an end, for a few days anyway.  We've had the most wonderful fall this year.  I'm not ready for cold and snow.  Oh well, it's inevitable...cold weather.  Hubby's got a nice warm fire going, so I think I'll go fix him some hot chocolate with whipping cream on top to thank him.  You all have a safe and fun Halloween....watch out for those little creepy ghosts!  Thanks for stopping by.

The Halloween Bride

Happy Friday Blog Friends!  Today I'm posting a card that I made awhile back.  I took a class with the fabulous Cheryl Valadez at China Phoenix 2, in Albuquerque.  Cheryl is a wonderful Copic certified designer, and I noticed on her blog that she has taken the next level certification.  Congrats, Cheryl!  As soon as hubby can do it, we'll be adding Cheryl's blog link to my blog.  Thanks, Cheryl for saying it's okay with you to add you to my blog.  I love this stamp, and want to make more cards with her.  Please forgive me, I can't remember what she's called, or who the stamp company is that makes this cool spooky bride.  Isn't she a cool one?  I hope you all have a good weekend.  So far, we're still having beautiful weather in Santa Fe.  I don't want it to end, as I'm not ready for cold and snow.  Thanks for stopping by, and I'll be back soon!

It's a Southwest Christmas.

Hello Blog Friends!  What a beautiful Sunday it has been.  Nice weather, fun watching the last day of the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque on TV (and I am so happy to watch it on TV after seeing the turtle-moving traffic that is backed up for miles and miles), and dinner is already prepared.  Life is good.  I thought you might enjoy the card that I just finished and got in the mail to Stamp A Mania.  I have the honor of being on their design team.  Cynthia and Mark Stansell, the owners of Stamp A Mania, are the most wonderful people you'll ever meet.  If you get a chance to go to the Albuquerque Stamp Convention, please stop by their booth.  They introduce new stamps all the time, and I know you'll enjoy visiting with them, and watching Cynthia demo.  The Stamp A Mania link is on the right hand side of my blog, check it out.  The stamps used on this card are the Mimbreno Ornaments, small and large.  I colored them with Copics, and the snowflakes are by Spellbinders.  Thanks for stopping by!

Another Take Ten Style Halloween Card

Hello Blog Friends!  First, I forgot to thank my friend, Liane....for the adorable "treat box" pattern.  Thank you Liane!!!!  Sorry, I forgot my manners and failed to say thank you when I posted the pic of the treat box.  Today tho, the dim light bulb came on and I remembered my manners!  Yay!

Here's another Take Ten Style Halloween card.  I like making cards once in awhile that don't require coloring or stamping.  I did do some "punching" with some of my Martha Stewart punches.  I sure like her punches.  They're good quality and there are some really cool designs out there.  Making progress with my darn left knee today.  Not sure what I did, but I've been limping around all week.  Not fun!  Much better today, so I'm a happy girl.  Again, the background is a Cuttlebug embossing folder, and the rest is by Recollections and punches by MS.  Easy peasey.  :o)   Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Treat Box

Hello Blog Friends!  Friday is here and boy, has our weather in Santa Fe changed.  Cold, windy, and we're supposed to get rain too.  I'm not ready for cold weather, but guess it'll come whether I want it to or not.  Halloween's just around the corner, so I made a little treat box.  The partof the box where you put your treat in is on the small side, but will hold several Hershey's Kisses, or other candy about that size.  I'm sure you could put other things in the box if you don't want to use candy.  Have a good weekend!

A "Take Ten" style card today!

Good morning Blog Friends!  Are you familiar with the Stampington magazine called "Take Ten"?  If you're not, the magazine shows an array of cards that you can make in about "ten" minutes.  Trust me, I have never been able to make a card in ten minutes....but wouldn't that be nice?  This is my version of a take ten card.  I made a few and will be posting more later.  I'd picked up some really cute little ghosts, monsters, sentiments and such last year, and finally got around to using them this year.  I needed a few Halloween cards for friends and family, and my stash of things from last year came in handy.  Quick cards, altho no stamping or coloring.  Sometimes it's fun to make this type of card too.  The spiders are "puffy" and the kitty also has a puffy tail....so cute.  The background is a cuttlebug embossing folder, and I used some of my punches to add other embellishments.  This card went to my friend, Anna at SFCC!  Okay, enough babbling....on to the quickie card.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hello again! A "long" get well card

HELLO BLOG FRIENDS! It's been a very long time since I've blogged.  You know how life gets in the way of things, and we have cer...
