Bee Seeing You.......

Happy Weekend Blog Friends!

Tomorrow is Easter, although you probably won't get this notice in your email until Sunday anyway, as there is about a 24 lag time on Blogger notices.  Today I'm sharing a card I received from my sweet friend Liane Ceglar.  Thanks, Liane!  No special occasion.....and I always love getting happy mail for no special reason.  That type of mail always seems to arrive at just the right time.

The embossing folder is from SU, and I love the honeycomb!  I don't know who makes the "Bee Seeing You" sentiment, but it's perfect for this card.  The little embellishments and brad fit just perfectly as well.

Wishing you all a Happy Easter!

Make and Take Card

Hi Blog Friends,

Today I'm sharing a card I made at stamp convention in the Paper Cut booth.  It was one of their make and take cards.  There was another card I wanted to make, but they stopped making those before I got to sit down an play.  Oh well, this one was a fun one to make.  It's gray card stock (cs), which I rarely use, but really like the way it turned out.  A big flourish stamp was used to stamp the sides of the gray cs and the white cs on the front.  I think this is called "side step" card.  The butterflies are stickers with foam tape.  The "Thinking of You" punched out pieces were pre-punched (I'm sure to save time at the make and take table), so I don't know what punches they used.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy crafting!

A Thank you Tag by Patty Field

Hi Blog Friends,

Hubby received this cool "Thank You Tag" from our neighbor Patty Field.  He took care of their house while they were in Arizona.  Patty used a metal charm tied to the raffia, and cut out the bird with flowers and leaves....it looks like a miniature collage piece.  I don't recognize the stamps she used, but it's a very nice tag.  Randy sure liked it.  Nice job, Patty!

I'll be back soon with more to share.  Thanks for dropping by today.

Spot the Dog

Hello Blog Friends,

Although you may not see this post till tomorrow, I'm writing today March 17, so.... Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Our son's name is Patrick, so every St. Patrick's Day, we'd have green French toast for breakfast!  It doesn't sound good, but it really was.  :o)

Somehow I managed to delete my folder of new cards.  Argh......  I'm waiting for hubby to get home so that he can, hopefully, retrieve my lost folder.  He's teaching all weekend at Game & Fish, so it won't be till tomorrow.  I have no idea how I deleted it, but leave it to me to do that. <groan>

I'm sharing a card I made a while back to give the kids after their home was broken into.  We wanted to cheer them up, so made a quick silly card with a check inside to help them in replacing some of their things that were stolen .  I think the stamp is one of the old Stampa Barbara stamps.  Love those stamps.

I'll be back soon with another card as soon as my folder comes out the black hole.

Until next time.....    thanks for stopping by today.

Chalk Board Chili

Happy Weekend Blog Friends,

Today I'm sharing a card I made for SAM and delivered to them at convention.  It's the "chalk board" technique.  Super easy and fun.

Here's my version using the chili stamp from SAM.

Have a great weekend, and enjoy our New Mexico spring weather.  Thanks for stopping by today.

A Little Birdie............

Hello Blog Friends!

We survived stamp convention this last weekend.  Our Santa Fe ATC group was there, and it was good to see them.  It was really fun to be there since it had been five years since I'd made it down to Albuquerque for convention.  Saw lots and lots of friends I hadn't seen in a very long time....Ellen Taylor was a total surprise!  So happy to get to sit and visit with Ellen.  Such a talented woman. Met lots of new people, did a couple of make and takes, and just had lots of fun.

Today I'm sharing a birthday card.  Love the little birdie.  I bought the stamp at Guadalupe's Fun Rubber stamp store, here in Santa Fe.  They have an awesome selection of stamps, and as some of  you may or may not know, they're in a new location....downstairs!  Bigger store, more stamps and supplies, and they have two employees who we just love, Lea D, and Deb.  Store owner (Guadalupe's)  Lee K, was at convention working in the Stamp A Mania (SAM) booth.  Lots of action in that booth all day, and the new stamps that SAM introduced were a hit.  Convention goers were busy coloring the new images at their make and take table.

This little guy was colored with Copics.  Isn't he adorable?  Love birdies.  That's it for today.  I'll be back soon.  Thanks for dropping by today.

A masculine card by Sara Hotchkiss

Hello Blog Friends,

Today I'm sharing a card by Sara Hotchkiss, my neighbor.  Sara is one of the sweetest people you could ever meet.  Always willing to help anyone.  She has such a good heart, I wanted to put her card on the blog. Sara sent me this pic of cards she's made for all the male friends/relatives she will be sending cards to.

Sara, you did a great job!

Very masculine colors and nice layout.  Thanks, Sara, for sharing your creativity!

Last Sneak Peek...Double Header

Good morning!

My computer reflects that this post didn't show up.  I did submit two postings yesterday, so I will try and find out if there's a limit on how many postings can be generated in one day.  Weird.  Anyway, here are the two pics that didn't come thru on my computer/email.  I'm curious to know if you all got the posting notice?  Will you please let me know if this one (Last Sneak Peek !Double Header) came thru for you?  Thanks, I'd appreciate your feedback.

Mark & Cynthia will have several show specials in ABQ.  Spectrum Noir's 15% off, special "packages" of Spectrum Noir's 15% off, and NEW marker storage racks for Spectrum's, Copics, and other markers will also be featured and on sale.

Have a wonderful weekend, stay warm and hopefully you'll get to go to stamp convention in Albuquerque.

NEW Little CRITTERS from SAM

I'm baaaack.......

Okay, I couldn't help myself....I'm a wussy.  I had said the last post was the last of the new stamps.  I just had to show you a few of the new little critters making their debut appearance at convention this Saturday/Sunday.  The remaining critters will be a surprise for you at convention.

I can't decide which of the critters I like the best, because I like ALL of them.  There's also a couple of new little flowers that will be at the show.  Be sure and stop by and check out all the new stamps.  For those of you who don't live in New Mexico, and can't be at convention, you can see everything at www.stampamania.com
Again, these are pictures of just the images, not cards.  But can you just imagine what great cards you can make with these images?ew

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Last Sneak Peek Posting ~ ~ ~ Doube Header

Dear Blog Friends,

Today will be the last sneak peek before convention on Saturday.

Here are the last two stamps in the new set.  SAM has some great new images for this year's convention.  Stop by their booth and check everything out.

Mark mentioned that they'll have SEVERAL SHOW SPECIALS.  Spectrum Noir's 15% off, plus three (3) different Spectrum Noir's "packages" 15% off.  And....all new marker storage racks for Spectrum's, Copics, and other markers will also be specially priced during convention.

Don't you love the Indian blanket on the ladder?  Cool stamp.  Then there's the chiminea fire pit; another familiar sight in New Mexico.

Have a wonderful weekend and I hope you make it to stamp convention.  Thanks for dropping by today.

My Favorite New Stamp - Hollyhocks, Gate and Pots

Hello Blog Friends,

For today's sneak peek....I'm sharing my favorite new Stamp A Mania stamp.  It's the hollyhocks, gate and pots.  I love love love hollyhocks.  And I like blue gates, and blue pots!  Guess it's a good thing there are two pots, or I would have said I love pot.  Don't want to give you all the wrong idea.  Gee, no wonder this stamp is my fave.  lol   So much fun to color, and I can't wait to make actual cards with it.  Again, this is just the "image"....not a card.

Two more days and it's stamp convention time.  Better do some deep knee bends early Saturday morning to get ready for a whirlwind of shopping, seeing old friends, and looking at all the things we can't live without at convention.  Anticipation......wasn't that the name of a song a while back?

Have you tried the Spectrum Noir markers?  They are the most affordable alcohol markers out there.  Try 'em, you'll like 'em.  I'll be back tomorrow with another peek.  Thanks so much for dropping by today.

Blue Window, Pots and Cactus

Hi Blog Friends,

Another quick post today.

I love "windows".......here's a new window from Stamp A Mania.  Cute little pots with cactus too.

So many color possibilities with this stamp.  Let your imagination run wild.

Hope you all make it to stamp convention this weekend in Albuquerque.  Snow is in the forecast, so I hope it doesn't get too bad for folks traveling to ABQ from the north.

Stop by again tomorrow for another peek.  Have a wonderful day.

Sneak Peek - Two

Howdy Blog Friends,

This will be a quick post.  I was heading off to bed and remembered that I promised to post another sneak peek today.  Okay, my brain is fried.  It's been a long long day, and I'm ready for some sleep.

Here's the second peek at one of the new stamps from Stamp A Mania.  This one's for all you cowgirls at heart!  Remember, this is just a pic of the image, not a completed card.  Don't you just love purple cowboy boots?  I wish you could see the range of gorgeous colors used on cowboy boots these days.....if you get a chance, take a walk around the plaza in downtown Santa Fe....you'll see so may different color combinations on boots. Yee Haw!

I'll be back with another peek soon!

Sneak Peek....New Stamp A Mania

Happy Sunday Blog Friends!

It's clouding over and getting dark in Santa Fe.  Cold too.  I wish Spring would get here.  :o)

I've been absent for a while, working on a special project for a friend in Texas.  I'll be posting the project when it's done.

Today I'm sharing a sneak peek with you.  It's one of the "NEW" Stamp A Mania stamps.  The stamps were unveiled in Mesa, AZ, this weekend at stamp convention there.  Here's peek at what you'll find at the Albuquerque Stamp Convention next weekend at the State Fairgrounds, Saturday 3/9, and Sunday 3/10.

The "sneaks" I'll be sharing over the next week are the single IMAGES....not cards.  This one of the images on a set of six stamps.  The cover sheet is a laminated color sheet on the full set. What's nice is that they are cling mounted and can be stored on the laminated sheet.  I'm not sure, but I think if the stamp is packaged individually, the image will be in black and white.  There are five more images in this set.  Can you imagine what wonderful cards you can make with this image?  So many different color combinations you can play with.  It's so exciting when when new images are introduced!

That's it for today.  I'll be back tomorrow with another peek.  Thanks for dropping by today!
