BIRTHDAYS ARE LIKE HAIRBALLS!

Hello Friends,

This card just cracks me up!  Anymore, yup....birthdays are like hairballs.  Oh well, better to have them than the alternative, as the saying goes.  My friend Edie came up with the design, and I just love it.  Simple and adorable.  The kitty is by Stampendous, and sadly, no longer available.  :o(  I'd love to find him.  I forget who the sentiment is by...sorry.  Colored up kitty with Copics, and used Fun Flock for the "hairball."  Hilarious....maybe I have a weird sense of humor....no I do have a weird sense of humor.  And anymore, just watching the news on television, I'm happy to find anything to laugh about.  haha  And thank you Ms. Edie for a fun card!

I hope all you cat lovers out there enjoy the kitty card.  Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back later with something new.

Hugs, Geri

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Hello Friends,

A couple of days early, but wanted to wish you all a very Happy Valentine's Day.  If I don't get this posted today, I'll miss the big day.

Once in a while I like cards with a lot of white showing.  The colored card stock is almost a periwinkle color, really pretty.  Fun to make cards with other than the usual holiday colors.  The heart is a die cut, as is the "love" and the arrow.  Loved the little arrow with heart on it.  Hubby teaches archery at three different venues in Santa Fe, so I'm always looking for arrows.  He took first place in his divison at the NM State Archery Tournament last weekend!  :o)

I embossed a strip of white card stock with little hearts, for a side accent.  Added pearls to the center of the big heart, and layered all on a square card.  I don't make square cards very often.

Happy Valentine's Day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATRICK!

 Hello Friends,

Awhile back, I had made a card like this for hubby.  My friend Edie had originally designed the card, and I decided to make another one for our son for his birthday.  It's a fun card to make.  Mostly punching circles for the bubbles, cutting strips for the mug, and using Distress Ink for the edges.  I made the mug handle by using two different sizes of oval punches.  Layered mug on to woodgrain paper, and backed that with chocolate brown card stock, then glued it on to a kraft card.  Happy Birthday Pat!  :o)

Thanks for stopping by.  I'm working on Valentine cards and will share soon.

                         Hugs, Geri
