GEMS AND GEARS

Hi Friends,

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and didn't eat too much turkey.......we're just cooking our bird today.  Today I have a card to share that was so much fun to make.  It has an embossed background, and gears that were cut out of Tim Holtz' grungeboard.  I used three different size gear dies.  Alcohol inks were used to color the gears, and I added a little metallic paint to them as well.  Brushed the embossed background with distress inks, then added gemstones to the center of the gears.

I've been remiss in posting lately.  :o(
The days are slipping away.  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit.  Until next time.....

ORANGE FLOWER

Hello Friends,

A quickie post today.  Here's a card we made at one of the Stamperpalz gatherings.

Since this card was made quite a few months ago, I'm sorry, I can't remember all the steps, but think we used distress inks on the background and flower.  A honeycomb stencil was used.  And you can barely see the faint image of the flower stamp on the background.  And if I recall correctly, we used a spray bottle with water to lightly spray over the background.  Cut out the flower, and used a stylus to curl the petals.  The stem and leaves, I hand cut.  Added bling to the center of the flower for a finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by to visit.  I've been slow to post, lots happening.  I'll be back when I can with something new.  Until next time.....
Hugs, Geri

THE KINDNESS YOU SHOW......

Hi Friends,

I thought I'd post a card before the week is over.  This is a card I made at a Stampin Up workshop.  Stamps of course, are by Stampin Up.  It was a quick card to make.  Used a background leaves stamp for the background piece.  Then the flower and stem were stamped.  The words were stamped in blue and punched out with a scallop circle punch.  Added the tiny green bow to the stem, and some gemstones around the flower.  Oh...almost forgot, tied a ribbon around the background piece.  Love that leaf background stamp.

Thanks for stopping by to visit.  I'll be back later with another card.  Until next time....
