Hello Blog Friends!  It's been a very busy two weeks, and I'm so looking forward to things slowing down.  I guess they never really do, but I like thinking that just maybe......things will slow down one of these days, and soon!  I've been having big problems with Google not uploading my blog pics, and thank goodness Randy figured it out this morning.  Whew.............

Today I'm posting a card that a group of stampers made at a class taught by Lydia Carrell.  Once again, our Technique Queen (that's what our group calls Lydia, because she excels when it comes to learning and teaching new techniques) Lydia, was gracious and generous in teaching us another awesome technique.

The ornament is a Tim Holtz die, and the pine branch is by Impression Obsession.  We used a couple of different acrylic paints, and I'm sorry, I don't remember the names of the paints, but do remember that Lydia said she bought them at Home Depot (HD)!  I didn't realize HD had these cool paints.  She said she didn't know if HD still carries the paints we used. The blue paint on the ornament really shimmers, and the white coat we put on the top layer of the background paper has very fine glitter in it.  Really pretty colors!  Several steps were used to achieve the background layer.  We stamped images on the ornament with white ink.  The winter house/church scene I used on this card is from the Stamp A Mania set called Snow Globe Set, FP-SB103.  The ornament top was painted with silver paint.  Thank you, Lydia, for another great class!
